Frank X. Fleming, MD
Dr. Fleming knew at an early age that he wanted to follow his father and grandfather’s footsteps into the medical field and become a plastic surgeon. Dr. Fleming earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Fleming went on to complete a six year General Surgery residency at the Yale University School of Medicine Affiliated Hospital System. While there, as Chief Resident, he was awarded a special teaching award for his skill at teaching medical students and junior residents assigned to his service. Dr. Fleming continued on to complete a two year Plastic Surgery residency at McGill University under the guidance of Bruce Williams, who was then president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. This was followed by a hand fellowship in Phoenix Arizona. Dr. Fleming came to the Tri-Cities in 2008 to head up the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Kadlec Clinic. Having made frequent trips to the Tri-Cities as the coach of his son’s hockey team, Dr. Fleming and his wife knew that the Tri-Cities would be an excellent community to raise their growing family. For over two decades Dr. Fleming has been transforming lives with his surgical skills, attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Dr. Fleming’s commitment to patient safety is the cornerstone of his practice. For optimal patient safety, Dr. Fleming performs his surgeries at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. Dr. Fleming is a retired Lt Commander with the US Navy Reserves, sits on the Board of Directors of the Kadlec Clinic and is a recipient of the prestigious Golden Hands award, given to him by his peers at the Washington Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Fleming is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
